over:heard

From a mention to a statement you can send

Monitoring tools give you a feed of mentions. over:heard gives you what to do about them: every story is assessed, and comes with a response you can send, backed by the sources that ground it.

1. Mentions, in your market and its languages

over:heard reads local dailies, radio, blogs and forums in the languages your customers speak, including colloquial and code-switched language. Setup starts from your website: queries, languages and sources are proposed, you review and activate.

2. Stories, not a feed

Coverage of the same event is grouped into one story, with its volume over time, so a crisis reads as one thing to handle and not as forty alerts.

3. Threat or opportunity, assessed

Each story is rated as a threat (crisis response) or an opportunity (capitalisation), with severity, urgency and escalation risk, using the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) framework.

4. An advisory you can act on

An executive summary, a ready-to-send public statement, the risks and openings to watch, the stakeholders concerned and a phased action plan.

5. Every claim carries its source

Each factual sentence cites a claim checked against a verbatim quote from a dated source, and verified by two independent models. What could not be verified is listed as such, never written as fact.

6. A desk for the whole team

Assign each phase of the plan to a teammate, share read-only briefings with executives, and when new coverage arrives, review the update as a diff of facts before it is applied. Phases already engaged are never rewritten.

Questions

Which sources does over:heard monitor?
